All of our cats have shifted since Chang left our colony. While Sebastian may always have a bit of that feral edge, he let Beth pet him for about 15 minutes today, another new effort on his part.
Sebby has always woken up slowly. We can find him and do awful things like clip his nails, if he has been sleeping soundly. He doesn’t become fully aware of his surroundings until about a minute or two after we wake him up.
He was fully aware of Beth petting him for quite some time during this session with her. He huddled but he did not run. It was almost like he just wanted to see what might happen if he stayed and let her touch him. She left him before he ran away so the episode ended on a positive note. She completed her mission then left, it was fully his choice to exit stage left….
